Ramadan Reminders 2018: Day 25

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته،

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh,
Bismillah…
 
DHIKR OF THE DAY
Train yourself this month to:-
Say:

((اللهم إني أعوذ بك من شر سمعي، ومن شر بصري، ومن شر لساني، ومن شر قلبي، ومن شر مني‏)).‏

Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min sharri sam’i, wa min sharri basari, wa min sharri lisani, wa min sharri qalbi, wa min sharri minnee.

Shakal bin Humaid (رضي الله عنه) reported: I asked: “O Messenger of Allah, teach me a prayer.” He (ﷺ) said, “Say: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min sharri sam’i, wa min sharri basari, wa min sharri lisani, wa min sharri qalbi, wa min sharri maniyyi (O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evils of my hearing, the evils of my seeing, the evils of my tongue; the evils of my heart and the evils of passions).”[Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi].
 
ACTION OF THE DAY
Train yourself this month to :-
1. When you go up a mountain or aeroplane, say the takbeer (Allahu Akbar); and when you go down, say the tasbeeh (Subhan Allah).
Al-Bukhari narrated in his Saheeh that Jabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When we went up, we would say takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and when we went down, we would say tasbeeh (Subhan Allah). 
When the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and his army climbed a hill they would say takbeer and when they went downhill they would say tasbeeh. 
Revive this Sunnah by saying takbeer whenever you are driving and going up a mountain or when taking off on a plane and as well say tasbeeh when going down the mountain or when landing from a plane.

2. Take care of your body. Pamper yourself after a long day of fasting with a relaxing bath or a cup of tea and the recitation of the Qur’an from your favorite reciter.
`Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As narrated: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “O `Abdullah! Have I not been formed that you fast all the day and stand in prayer all night?” I said, “Yes, O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)!” He said, “Do not do that! Observe the fast sometimes and also leave them (the fast) at other times; stand up for the prayer at night and also sleep at night. Your body has a right over you, your eyes have a right over you, and your wife has a right over you.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
We all deserve “ME TIME!” The only problem is we tend to go over the limit in utilising this time and end up having an excessive “Me time!” Utilise the “ME TIME” to clean yourself and take care of your body, for it is an amanah (trust)! Learn to maintain the balance.
