DAY 26:SEE FAILURE AS AN OPPORTUNITY
فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (٥)
إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (٦
“So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, Verily, with the hardship, there is relief.”
[Surah Al Inshirah 94: 5-6]
One of the secrets of success is that we should not fear failures. Rather, we must pick up the sweet fruits hidden in defeat. Failure is like a mirror, which shows us our weaknesses and defects accurately. Great and wise people consider failure as a bridge to victory. Allah سبحانه و تعالى tells us that within one hardship, there are at least two reliefs. Allah سبحانه و تعالى is teaching you to look for the opportunities within your hardship. This skill, seeing the opportunity for growth, becomes invaluable during setbacks. While others are focusing on the failure, you are focusing on the opportunities. Setbacks can actually fuel creativity when we are in the right frame of mind, because we are forced to think in new ways. But that is only when we wire our brains to know that this difficulty can be overcome. Some people always bounce back, but others always seem to crash down. And the difference between the two is the ability to see that a closed door somewhere means, at the very least, an open window somewhere else. May Our Lord, Allah سبحانه و تعالى strengthen our imaan (faith) and tawakkal (trust) in Him to such a degree that no difficulty of any sort can break us, اللهم آمين.
