Ramadan Reminders 2018: Day 18

⭐⭐⭐
DAY 18
⭐⭐⭐

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته،

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh,
Bismillah…

DHIKR OF THE DAY
Train yourself this month to:-
Save yourself from Riyaa (showing off).
Mahmud bin Labid (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The thing I fear most for you is the lesser shirk (polytheism), showing-off (of good deeds).” [Related by Ahmad with a good chain of narrators.(Book 16, Hadith 1527)]
Always ask Allah for protection from that feeling we get when praised for something we have done that makes us feel proud and on top of the world!
Recite these two duas:

اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَعـوذُبِكَ أَنْ أُشْـرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنا أَعْـلَمْ، وَأَسْتَـغْفِرُكَ لِما لا أَعْـلَم

Allahuma inni na’udhu bika an ushriku bika wa’ana a’lam wa’astaghfiruka lima laa a’alam (O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I associate anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I know not). [Ahmad 4/403.]

اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنِي بِمَا يَقُولُونَ، وَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا لا يعلمون.

Allahuma laa tu’akhidhny bima yaqulun waghfirly mala ya’lamun.
‘Adi ibn Arta’ said, “When one of the Companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was praised, he said in supplication to Allah), ‘Do not take me to task for what they say and forgive me for what they do not know.'” (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 761)

ACTION OF THE DAY
Train yourself this month to :-
Help keep your environment clean! Removing litter from the Earth that Allah has created will surely benefit you.
Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه)narrated: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “There is a (compulsory) Sadaqa (charity) to be given for every joint of the human body (as a sign of gratitude to Allah) everyday the sun rises. To judge justly between two persons is regarded as Sadaqa, and to help a man concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride it or by lifting his luggage on to it, is also regarded as Sadaqa, and (saying) a good word is also Sadaqa, and every step taken on one’s way to offer the compulsory prayer (in the mosque) is also Sadaqa and to remove a harmful thing from the way is also Sadaqa.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2989)
If you come across a rock or some litter, just pick it up and dispose of it appropriately. Your action of picking up the litter doesn’t diminish your status in the slightest, but instead it raises it, for you are actually practising what Islam preaches and it may impact a non-Muslim who happens to have spotted your action.
Baaraka Allah feekum.
