Ramadan Reminders 2018: Day 23

⭐⭐⭐
DAY 23
⭐⭐⭐

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته،

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh,
Bismillah…

DHIKR OF THE DAY
Train yourself this month to:-
Say:

((اللهم إني أعوذ بك من منكرات الأخلاق، والأعمال، والأهواء‏)).

Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min munkaratil-akhlaqi, wal-a’mali, wal- ahwa’i
Ziyad bin ‘Ilaqah reported: My uncle Qutbah bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate: “Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min munkaratil-akhlaqi, wal-a’mali, wal- ahwa’i (O Allah! I seek refuge in You from undesirable manners, deeds, and aspirations).” [At-Tirmidhi: Book 17, Hadith 1482]
Manners: very important in our lives! Knowledge without good conduct is like a boat without paddles. Akhlaq (moral character and good conduct ) is having good manners with family and relatives as well as outsiders.
The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was sent to us for the following reason:
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “I have only been sent to perfect good characteristics.” [Narrated by al-Bukhaari in al-Adab al-Mufrad (273) and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah (45).]
Let’s be complete Muslims and not half deen! The outer appearance doesn’t portray the inner beauty!

ACTION OF THE DAY
Train yourself this month to :-
Read:
The morning and evening duas:

((الحمد لله الذي أحيانا بعد ما أماتنا و إليه النشور))

Alhamdulillahil ladhi ahyana ba’da ma amatana wa ilayhin nushur.

((باسمك اللهم اموت و احيا))

Bismika allahumma amoot wa’ahya.
Hudhaifah (رضي الله عنه) narrated: When the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed, he used to say, “Allahumma bismika ahya wa amut.” And when he woke up in the mornings he used to say, “Al-hamdu li l-lahi al-ladhi ahyana ba’da ma amatana wa ilaihi-nnushur.” (Sahih al-Bukhari: Vol. 9, Book 93, Hadith 491)
Or:

((باسمك ربي وضعت جنبي، وبك أرفعه؛ إن أمسكت نفسي فارحمها، وإن أرسلتها، فاحفظها بما تحفظ به عبادك الصالحين‏))

‘Bismika Rabbi wada’tu janbi, wa bika arfa’uhu, in amsakta nafsi farhamha, wa in arsaltaha fahfazha bima tahfazu bihi ‘ibadakas-salihin
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When any of you goes to bed, he should shake off (or dust off) his bedsheet because he does not know what might have fallen on it after he had left it. Then he should recite: ‘Bismika Rabbi wada’tu janbi, wa bika arfa’uhu, in amsakta nafsi farhamha, wa in arsaltaha fahfazha bima tahfazu bihi ‘ibadakas-salihin [With Your Name, my Rubb, I place my side (upon the bed) and with Your Grace I will raise it up. If You withhold my soul (cause me to die), have mercy on it but if You let it go (let me live), guard it against which You guarded Your pious slaves].”‘ [Al- Bukhari and Muslim].
NB: You can find these duas and others to recite before sleeping and after waking up in “Hisnul Muslim.” There are mobile application versions as well.
Try your best to master the du’as and don’t forget to read them before you close your eyes and after you open your eyes. It serves as a blessing! Alhamdulillah.
This Friday we will be memorizing 4 verses to complete the memorization of the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf.
Baaraka Allah feekum.
