DAY 23: EXERCISE SELF DISCIPLINE
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗ
“…Verily, Allah will not change the condition of people as long as they do not change their state themselves…”
[Al-Ra’d 13:11]
We are born as individuals and will be standing in front of Allah ﷻ as individuals. So depending on the hands of others for our own change and behaviour is fruitless. Islam gives serious importance to self-regulation and self-discipline. Acknowledging our shortcomings is an important step in the path of self-discipline. Setting up goals and targets, committing to actions and trying to perfect our actions goes a great way into self-discovery. And it is impossible to do this without self-discipline. Figure out your short comings and weaknesses. Start working on that. Discover your strengths and potential. Use them to improve yourself. Try to perfect yourself in ways loved by Allah ﷻ. Take one step at a time and be consistent. May Allah ﷻ help us all in perfecting our character, practising good habits and remaining committed upon our goals, اللهم آمين.
May Allah have Mercy on you all, for having come up with these wonderful, useful daily reminders.
Great job!
Allahuma ameen !
